Mr. Rusty Hires has been in business for over 40 years. He started his first driving school in Boston, Mass. in 1968 and opened his first driving school in South Carolina in 1987 in Moncks Corner. “I love cars. I love people. I hate accidents,” said Mr. Hires to The Post and Courier. Mr. Hires is also the co-chair of Summerville Mayor’s Committee on the Employment of People with Disabilities. Rusty’s Driving School is one of the few driving school’s in the state that is certified to teach those with special needs.

Mr. Davis has been a licensed driving instructor for the last 27 years at Rusty’s Driving School. He is a licensed Third Party Tester and can administer the driving test. He also is accredited with AAA to teach the defensive driver’s course. Mr. Davis is also licensed to teach and certify driving instructors. He received his Associates Degree in Driver’s Safety Course from Erskine College.
Ms. Linda Morgan has been the human resources, secretary and office manager at Rusty’s Driving School for over 9 years. She began her career in the medical field and retired in 2004. Ms. Morgan joined the team at Rusty’s Driving School in 2005 and is the source for all information at Rusty’s Driving School!
Mr. Mackey is not only a driving instructor at Rusty’s Driving School, he is also a teacher and varsity boys basketball coach at Woodland High School and St. George Middle School. He obtained his degree in Driver Education from Erskine College and is a South Carolina State alumna. He has been a driving instructor for over 10 years at Rusty’s Driving School, and a driver’s education teacher in South Carolina’s Public School System for 15 years.
